It was such an educational and heartwarming experience to have Talia return to her “home” community to share her enthusiasm for learning with my third grade class.  Talia’s warm presence and encouraging manner immediately engaged every student in the classroom.  She is a positive role model who never puts off a task until tomorrow if an impact can be made today.  She is not driven by a “must do” or “have to” mindset, but strives to see how she can incorporate her own learning, knowledge and interests, all while inspiring others to believe that through hard work and persistence they can be anything they choose to be. I believe Talia is a perfect model for the famous Ghandi quote “We must be the change we wish to see in the world.”
